2.Filing Requirements for Renewing Trademark Registration

1. Power of Attorney (Download), simply signed by the applicant;

2. A copy of the trademark registration certificate; if change of proprietor's name and address or assignment has been recorded, a copy of the certification needs also to be submitted;

3. Six (6) prints of trademark which must be in conformity with that on the original registration certificate.

Notes:

An application for renewal of a registration shall be filed with Chinese Trademark Office within six months before expiration of the period of validity of the registration. If no renewal application has been filed within the said period, a grace period of six months is allowed with payment of surcharge. If no application has been filed at the expiration of the grace period, the registered trademark shall be cancelled.

Upon approval, the Trademark Office will issue a renewal certificate which must be used together with the original registration certificate.
The period of validity of each renewal of registration shall be ten years.
